Nemoria saturiba Ferguson, 1969. [7034]
While similar to Nemoria lixaria in wing appearance and red terminal line markings, Nemoria saturiba can be distinguished from lixaria by the distinctive red patches on the abdomen in place of the sharp white spots found on Nemoria lixaria and Nemoria bistriaria. (see photo above). Larval form is quite distinct from other Eastern Nemoria species and easily distinguish saturiba from lixaria. For images of Nemoria saturiba larvae, click here.
