From local ecosystems in Pennsylvania forests and the New Jersey Pinelands to more distant communities in the mountains of Arizona, New Mexico and Utah, Friends' Central students have been involved in biodiversity studies in the field and the lab, learning how to investigate relationships between plants and insects, the impacts of human development on threatened habitats, and how changing climate and introduced species may disrupt native species and ecologies.
